Installation procedure
The installation of our BriteIce Lights™ can occur within any existing ice arena without structural modifications to the rink. At the beginning of the season or between ice changes mid-season, our install team will perform a 5-step procedure in-line with the existing ice creation process:
- Position film
- Our install team will work with arena staff to locate the desired positioning of each BriteIce Light™ within the specific rink dimensions.
- We will then secure our micro-thin film to the concrete floor and under the dasherboards. A special low temp pressure-sensitive adhesive is used for a secure bond between the flooring and our film.
- Freeze ice
- Your arena staff or local ice expert will freeze the ice layers directly over our film, in the same manner as usual.
- The unique ice-gripping properties of our film will ensure a secure bond with the ice throughout the freezing process.
- Connect film to light source
- While the remaining thickness of the ice is being frozen, our install team will connect the film to our 80,000 lumen xenon light source.
- This light source will be placed behind the boards and under the stands, several feet away from the ice.
- Tune colors
- After the ice has been frozen, shaved and smoothed, we will work with your Programs Director and/or Marketing Manager to adjust the colors of the BriteIce Lights™ to match team and/or sponsor logos.
- Coordinate controls
- Controls will be adjusted to streamline the operation of each BriteIce LightTM.
- GoalLight controls can be synched with the existing siren lights behind each net.
- AdLight, DasherLight, and CustomLight logos can be controlled from the main Arena Controls booth.
